HIROSHI KIMIZUKA

I was born in a seaside town called Seisho near Tokyo.
When I was 17 years old, I met my "destiny" and that
meeting changed my life forever.
She was a senior high school student with the dream of
being a fashion model, and she was passionate about
pursuing that dream.
I was impressed when hearing how serious she was with her
career aim.
I wanted to do something for her and thought "If I could
become a photographer, then I could be helpful to her."
2 years later I made the decision to become a
photographer.
We promised to make our dreams come true.

However, I had no knowledge, experience, or educational
background to become a cameraman at that time.
I had no idea what needed to be done to become one.
I diligently showed up at photo studios here and there and
was turned away at the door every time.
There were immeasurable burdens for me as an amateur on my
own.
One day, finally, I finally got an interview at one
studio, and the head of the studio who interviewed me
said, "You have a good eye", and it seemed that he liked
me.
Fortunately, I was able to begin working at the studio the
next day.
My life as a photographer had begun on that first day.
I was able to obtain basic knowledge of film, professional
lighting, and about relationships as a professional
photographer.
My experiences at the studio had a great impact on me.

Besides working at the studio, I spent my private time
shooting her photographs. It was a motivational experience
for both of us.

As my experiences grew, I was able to receive some awards
for photos of her as the model and the central figure.
In retrospect, I feel that she elicited my values
regarding feminine beauty.

I developed and accomplished my current style from many
experiences and ties to the people who have supported me
throughout.

Hiroshi Kimizuka. I put forth maximum effort to express
the "Love" and "Spirit" that the female models have.
I engage in high quality expression through my
photographs.
